Sagard MidCap Capital-backed Synov agreed to acquire Prima Electro from Prima Industrie.

Sagard MidCap Capital-backed Synov, a French specialist in the design and manufacturing of tailor-made electronic systems combining hardware and embedded software, agreed to acquire Prima Electro, the electronics business unit of Prima Industrie specialized in design and manufacturing of power and control electronics systems, from Prima Industrie, an industrial technology group. Financial terms are not disclosed. With unique design capabilities (35 engineers) and strong know-how in power electronics, Prima Electro will reinforce Synov’s position as a trusted technological partner for embedded and mission-critical systems. This acquisition marks a key milestone in Synov’s international expansion strategy. Led by its experienced and committed management team, Prima Electro represents Synov’s first stepping-stone in Italy, a key priority geography, where the group ambitions to further consolidate the market.
