Tyrus Capital, a private equity firm, and Melía Hotels International, a Spanish multinational hospitality company, completed the formation of a joint venture. Financial terms were not disclosed. Meliá provides the brand and management expertise, while Tyrus provides the heavy capital investment. This allows Meliá to expand its luxury footprint without bloating its balance sheet.
