BNP Paribas-backed Arval to acquire Athlon from Mercedes-Benz for €1bn.

BNP Paribas-backed Arval, a full‑service vehicle leasing and mobility solutions specialist, agreed to acquire Athlon, a vehicle leasing and fleet management company, from Mercedes-Benz, an automobile manufacturer company, for €1bn. "This is a very important transaction, as it will enable the group to create the joint European leader in long-term car rental," Thierry Laborde, BNP Chief Operating Officer.
