Ooredoo-backed Syntys completed the acquisition of Q Data QFZ from from Qatar Free Zones-backed Doha Venture Capital.

Ooredoo-backed Syntys, a company specializing in in physical and digital infrastructure services, completed the acquisition of Q Data QFZ, an operator of a hyperscale data centre facilities in Qatar, from Doha Venture Capital Fund, is the global venture capital arm of Qatar Free Zones. Financial terms were not disclosed. "This acquisition directly aligns with Ooredoo Group's strategic focus on investing in critical digital infrastructure and enabling sovereign AI and cloud services across the region. By integrating Q Data's hyperscale facilities into Syntys, we reinforce Syntys' ability to serve the world's leading cloud and AI providers while delivering sustainable value for our shareholders," Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo, Ooredoo Group CEO.
