JP Morgan-backed Forus Deporte, an operator of a chain of sport centers in Spain, completed the acquisition of 10 sports centers from Holmes Place, an owner and operator of health clubs. Financial terms were not disclosed. Following this operation, Forus has a presence in eleven autonomous communities, managing 44 sports centers in Spain and three sports centers in Portugal. Holmes Place, for its part, reduces its network to five centers, after handing over seven private centers and three concessions to Forus. This move will allow Holmes Place to focus on the premium segment and Forus to manage its larger-format clubs and family concessions.
