Blackstone to acquire Sphera from Genstar Capital for $1.4bn.

Blackstone agreed to acquire Sphera, a provider of software services with a focus on environmental health and safety, operational risk and product stewardship, from Genstar Capital, a private equity firm, for $1.4bn. “With this significant investment of new capital, Sphera will expand the Environmental, Social and Governance digital solutions on its SaaS platform with unique data sets and differentiated consultative services throughout the world.
