Mediterranean Shipping Company completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in Italo Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori from Global Infrastructure Partners.

Mediterranean Shipping Company, an international shipping line, completed the acquisition of a 50% stake in Italo Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori, an Italian open-access train operating company, from Global Infrastructure Partners, an independent infrastructure investor. Financial terms were not disclosed. "This agreement demonstrates our long-standing commitment to Italy and support for exceptional high-speed passenger rail transport in Italy," Diego Aponte, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company Group President.
